About Us

The United Nations International Peace and Governance Council UNIPGC-AFRICA is an organization devoted to the promotion of Sustainable Peace, Good Governance Advocacy and Poverty Eradication with Africa as our main focus. Our principal means of achieving our goals are through enlightenments, seminars, conferences, interventions, conflict resolutions, mediations, publications, lectures and deployment of peace emissaries as the need arises.

We are an integral part of International Peace and Governance Council (IPGC), Atlanta, USA and also the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance Inc (CIPG) Texas, USA which apart from other values also serve as veritable sources of training diplomats, good governance and peace ambassadors worldwide: www.ipgcinc.org.

Our educational program seeks to develop capacities of global leaders with focus on promoting the principles that fosters Good Governance and peaceful co-existence of societies. We aim to collaborate with various world Governments , UN Agencies and other Diplomatic Missions to support the mandates of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We are working closely with United Nations Associations who exists in various countries to lubricate and oil the wheels of relationships between the United Nations and the people of member states and also create public awareness on the various activities of UN. By working with UN across Africa, our core objectives extend further to:

  • Our Mission is officially registered across the African continent with HQRTS recently moved from Rwanda to Nigeria. We are currently operating in the following countries: Cameroon, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Ivory coast,, Zambia and South Africa. UNIPGC-AFRICA function in these countries through Country Directors, Country Chiefs, Special Envoys, Advisory Boards and Committees who discharge their responsibilities as charted by the Supreme Council after taking into consideration the pressing challenges that needs attention in our list of goals and objectives.

    UNIPGC is governed by the Supreme Order of International Peace and Governance Council (IPGC) consisting of High ranking personalities and professionals who are experts in various fields informing the general public of the activities, importance and values of the United Nations. Our highest decision-making body is the Supreme Council headed by the Global President His Excellency Ambassador (Dr) Jonathan Ojadah Other prominent diplomats, university dons, seasoned technocrats, senior public servants, senior security officials, and recognizable individuals who have made their marks join him at the table of the Supreme Council to coordinate and direct the affairs of the organization.

    We have successfully carried out various activities highlighted above in several countries which can be seen below in pictures. We are also poised to commence training and upgrading of peace diplomats and ambassadors and continuous training through the following institutions:

    Our Programmes

    The Programmes of IPGC include, but not limited to the following:

    Training and Capacity Building

    IPGC provides trainings, capacity building and academic operations including seminars in conflict management, conflict resolution and peace education. This capacity building program aims to support research that produces policy-oriented recommendations for current problems, and identifies longer-term trends and patterns in international politics that hold implications for peace, security and governance.
    We organize workshops for certification in conflict management in public policies; certification as a negotiator and mediator; certification of training for trainers in conflict management.
    IPGC Africa Centre for Peace Research & Diplomacy

    Peacebuilding Networks & Information Systems

    IPGC focuses on promoting the establishment of peacebuilding networks at both the national and international levels, aimed at supporting long-lasting peaceful democratic progress. We provide assistance in effectively utilizing available procedures of United Nations bodies and specialized agencies related with Peace Keeping, Anti-Terrorism, Social, Cultural, Democracy, Education, Health, Human Rights and of other International and Regional Organizations; Providing legal and Public relations advice; Providing an information service for dissemination of information provided by the members to the public, Governments, International and Regional Organizations

    Advisory Roles/Consultation

    Our Experts in various fields provide advisory roles, consultation, counselling and mediation to manage and resolve conflicts by peaceful means at the local, regional and national levels.

    We provide services in monitoring of Elections and Referenda.
